Q: Can this be used with stranded cables as well?
A: Yes, the design of this plug makes it suitable for both
If you are thinking about using their Cat7a cable, its hard to find compatible plugs, You cant even use Cat7 specific plugs. The Cat7a cable wires are very thick and you want to use these plugs or the field termination style. These are RJ45s with larger holes to fit the Cat7a. Worth the cost
Needed 250 pcs RJ45 for CAT7A project and went with these due to pricing vs field termination plugs. Had no problems...
worked well, sturdy and you can tell the quality of these shielded plugs compared to others I have used. I actually prefer when there is a guide with my rj45s because it helps to put the wires in to the plug so these checked that box
