A: Our Cat7A riser is S/FTP which has each individual pair wrapped in metal foil and in addition an overall braid wrapped around each
Q: Can Cat7A be terminated with RJ45's
A: You can use Cat7A Rj45's with this cable. We do recommend our Rj45's to be able to fit the wires of this cable. You can also terminate this cable onto Cat8 Keystone jacks.
Q: When should you used shielded cable?
A: Shielded cable is perfect for areas with EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). This is common in doctors & dentist offices, business, areas around cell towers and power lines. You can learn more here: what is shielded ethernet cable?
Q: How does the packaging come for different sizes?
A: Our 1000ft and 500ft size comes on a strong wooden reel and our 250ft comes plastic wrapped for shorter runs.
Q: When should you use riser cable?
A: Riser (CMR) rated cable is suitable for installations in walls, risers, and beneath flooring in non plenum spaces. It has a higher fire retardant than general use (CM) cable making it safe to put in the walls. Learn more here: What is riser cable?

Cable works well, although “striped” wires are not color coded and terminations are difficult without conductive tape. Infinity Cable went out of their way to accommodate shipping to Guam, and was extremely helpful even for a relatively small project for a church here!!
Hi Ed, thanks again for the order ! I wanted to also add that the wire coloring is actually by design to ensure the highest amount of electrical performance possible. During construction of the foam PE pairs going back to add a colored stripe can cause unstableness. This color coding of one pair color and the 2nd wire no color is typical on higher performance shielded cables such as our Cat7A and Cat8. With the wires being twisted together and wrapped in foil this does allow for easier organization of the wire pairs. Our priority is higher performance and safety with our cables so I hope this helps clarify any questions. We hope to hear from you again soon !

250ft Cat7A Shielded CMR (Riser) It is a good solid cable at awesome price, but bad news is the stripped wires are not stripped color coded - just plain white. This makes end termination unnecessary more difficult and for that I have sacked two stars!!!!! Talk to your supplier to fix this ASAP!!!!!!! Otherwise I have to look elsewhere for cables.
