Q: What is F/UTP?
A: F/UTP or also seen as FTP is type of structure that has shielding surrounding around all four twisted pairs.
Q: What type of connectors should we use with shielded Cat5e cable?
A: When installing shielded cable it is recommended to keep the whole cable run shielded. This includes the connectors such as RJ45's and keystone jacks. This makes sure the whole network is protected.
Q: Certification listed on jacket?
A: Absolutely! Our cables have our certification marks listed on the jacket such as UL and ETL numbers.
Q: What is the purpose of the ground wire in the cable?
A: Drain wires in shielded cable help you properly ground the cable. After grounding a shielded cable it helps in giving the shield the function it needs to protect from EMI.
Q: When should you used shielded cable?

Q: How does the packaging come for different sizes?
A: Our 1000ft size comes on a strong wooden reel and our 250ft comes plastic wrapped for shorter runs
Q: When should you use plenum cable?
A: Plenum cable is built for areas with air circulation such as drop ceilings, beneath flooring and HVAC. It has a higher fire retardant than Riser (CMR) cable which help eliminate the spread of flames and toxic smoke in air flow areas. You can also use this cable in Riser areas.
