Q: What is Cat5e cmp used for?
A: Cat5e cmp (plenum) cables are used for areas with air flow. Common places for this is in drop ceiling, air ducts, below flooring and HVAC. This cable is constructed with a higher fire retardant making it emit less toxic smoke and reduce the spread of flames. Which for areas with air flow is very important. Our cables come UL certified for safety and performance measures.

Doesn't show white streaks or stress marks when dressing cable into tight spaces with bends & twists
Jacket on this brand is darker and more flexible than others I have used. Many brands have a very stiff PVC jacket that shows white marks and stress points when dressing into equipment, with bends. I have found that the ABA Elite is the brand least likely to do this, so it's worth the extra money.
